High Intensity Acoustic Sensors
Columbia manufactures an extensive line of High Intensity Acoustic Sensors to measure a wide range of varying sound pressure levels. Like the Model P-308C designed to measure sound pressure from 100dB to 190dB, it incorporates a unique opposing seismic system design which make it insensitive to external vibration environments. TheModels 938 and 989 are true High Intensity Acoustic Sensors designed to measure gas-borne sound in the frequency range from 2Hz to 15KHz. Both the body and diaphragm are constructed of type 316 Stainless steel for use in corrosive environments.
